7/29/2013 0 Comments Lazy days...Oops, sorry it's been a while since my last blog. In all honesty I've been a bit lazy; too busy enjoying the sun and entertaining the kids on their school holidays! Need to buckle down now though and get busy making as I've managed to bag myself FIVE events for August! First up, (and in the first week), I have a craft fair in Market Harborough in aid of the Wishes for Kids charity, followed by a Fun Day at Gorse Hill Farm the next day. I then have one week of manic making to get extra stock for the Art in Earl Shilton Gallery open evening, that weekend then involves another craft fair (also being organised by the gallery) and then a Health & Beauty afternoon in Leicester City centre. Phew!
Don't think I've not been doing anything though, summer has proven to be somewhat an inspiration to me and has led to the creation of some really pretty pieces (even if I do say so myself). I'll let you be the judge too though, here's a sneak peek.....

7/8/2013 0 Comments Sunshine and StrawberriesWell the preview for the 'Birds of a Feather' exhibition at Wistow Gallery went really well last Friday evening; not only was the sun shining but I was also met by the gallery owner Kate Foster with a glass of bubbly and strawberries - lush. Oh yeah, and my stuff looks great in the display case and the exhibition as a whole looks fantastic! Spotted plenty of ideal gifts for friends and relatives whilst browsing, plus lots of things I'd love for myself.
Got a busy week ahead of me this week - off to Mosaic tomorrow to get some materials. I need to buy enough to test timings for the classes I mentioned in my last blog, plus have got two events at the beginning of August so need to make plenty of items for those seeing as the majority of my stock is either online or in galleries! All in all, hoping to have a very productive next few days. 7/1/2013 1 Comment Gallery Glory!![]() So, since my last blog I've managed to get myself into another gallery! Wistow Gallery were advertising for work for an exhibition entitled 'Birds of a Feather', at the same time I just happened to be making a piece that would fit right in - must be fate! The exhibition runs Sat 6th July until Mon 5th August and I shall be there at the preview evening Fri 5th July enjoying a glass of vino and seeing what other gorgeous items are available. There should be plenty to view and buy as Kate, who runs the gallery, informed me she has 90 local artists who supply to her! This week finds me occupying myself by researching jewellery making classes. I'm looking to run some in the very near future and know what I want to teach, just need to find prices for venues and then get some guinea pigs to test on to see how long I need to run classes for. All this and I'll be working at Earl Shilton Gallery again this Wednesday with a chance to do lots more work plus tinker around with my current displays.
